New workshops and programmes are in progress - for team leads, staff and creative practitioners -  (featuring the Four-Five Formula).

The following offers an overview of past commissioned programmes:

Effective Supervision In Care Settings

For team leads and practitioners with supervisory roles to facilitate and enhance positive learning environments, good communication and reflective practice skills.

Effective Team Leadership Skills

Clarifying leadership strengths, qualities, roles and responsibilities.  Team purpose, growth and development. Effective listening, trust-building, solution-orientated language and leading team decision-making strategies.

What If Love Is The Answer?

A programme about creating safe space for self and others to connect with people whose communication or behaviour is stressful. Situation assessments, de-escalation techniques, staff support and compassionate responses.

Positive Dementia Care (various programmes)

Travelling through rich and moving stories about understanding self and others, the sessions begin with dementia 'data' and then focus on self-awareness. Positive dementia care is about how we are
our beliefs about what is possible, our courage and attitudes and a willingness to connect differently. Positive dementia care is a complex dance of many parts - with uplifting wonderments along the way.

Your Day

A nourishing day with a variety of self-expressive techniques to creatively share what's thriving - and what's not - in the work environment. Explores staff's value base and wellbeing priorities along with inspired stories.

Organisational Vision

All organisations ebb and flow. It is important to take stock and consider questions about the position and future of a company. Knowing the ‘solution’ is often easier than we think if we have an open mind. Organisations, made of people, look for a sense of coherence or harmony between inner values and desires (heart) and company purpose and strategies (head).

Imagine What's Possible

An exploration of how adults learn, why it matters, and what we can create for ourselves and our communities.

I'M GLAD YOU'RE HERE

I'm Karrie Marshall

"I’ve spent over four decades working across health, social care, adult learning and the arts, supporting people who care deeply about others—and sometimes forget themselves. Through teaching, leadership and creative practice, I’ve been curious about what truly sustains compassion without burnout and creates empowering, humane environments. Along the way, I discovered that grace, self-compassion and possibility-thinking are not soft options, but practical antidotes to pressure and overwhelm. My work blends evidence-informed practice, creativity and lived experience, and has supported thousands of people to reconnect with hope, agency and meaning. At heart, I believe learning is a lifelong, shared process—hope in action, as we grow together."

Karrie Marshall has designed and delivered award-winning programmes across health, social care and community settings, working extensively with the NHS, voluntary organisations, people living a range of long-term conditions, community members, leaders and frontline staff.

Her work is rooted in compassion, creative possibilities and evidence-informed practice, and has been recognised nationally, including by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for tackling health inequalities and through an Outstanding Achievement award in the third sector.

Karrie is an international keynote speaker. She has a background in nursing, managing care, lecturing, consultancy, adult learning and the arts. Independent evaluations show her programmes consistently increase hope, confidence, connection and wellbeing. She now focuses on reaching more people through her books, online programmes and talks.

This body of work is underpinned by her BICEPS model of connection, now known as the Four–Five Formula—an evidence-informed framework shaped by mindfulness and human development theory, and featured in her books and talks.

MORE ABOUT
“The course helped remove some inherent and unconscious ‘them-and-us’ thinking, which led to greater collaborative approaches with our clients, who took on leadership roles, through peer support.”

Community Care Manager

“I was surprised by the holistic nature of the program, the care for the individual, the team and identifying simple system changes."

NHS Manager

“The principles increased my confidence. I felt more empowered and became more proactive. I feel more validated and see possibilities, which feels good. It’s been life changing."

Learn How Geese Support One Another:

Geese fly in a V formation because it helps the whole flock travel more efficiently. The bird at the front breaks through the air, reducing resistance for the birds behind it. This creates a stream of swirling air that provides extra lift, making flying easier for the following birds.

Each goose benefits from the one in front, sharing the effort of the journey. After some time, the leader moves back and another bird takes its place, with the strongest and most experienced flyers usually leading. Scientists have found that geese flying in formation can travel up to 70 per cent farther than a single bird flying alone.

Flying in formation also helps the flock stay together. Geese communicate by honking as they fly, and the white markings on their backs act like landing lights, helping each bird keep track of the others. If a goose is injured and forced to land, a few family members will remain with it until it recovers. Once it is able to fly again, they set off together to find another flock to join.
